National Walkout Day against eduction cuts in Canterbury – 24/11/10

UKC students and lecturers, Canterbury College students and local workers assemble outside the Templeman Library, University of Kent.

After putting together a list of demands for Kent Union they set off for a march around the campus.

The demands were given to Helen Wood, Kent Union president, and have now been drafted into motions which will be voted on at the Union Council meeting next week – 18:00, Thursday 2nd December at the Senate Building. It’s vital that we mobilise as many people as possible to this meeting to show support for anti-cuts motions that will push the Union into backing anti-cuts actions and supporting staff and students in their anti-cuts campaigns. Invite all your friends and lets get the Union behind the UKC Anti-Cuts campaign! See FB event here: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001897309756#!/event.php?eid=155701004474300
